Takeshi Murakami, known as the "Andy Warhol of Japan," creates his quirky, one-of-a-kind figures and artwork by drawing inspiration from traditional Japanese painting. Korin: Superstring Theory

White Frame Included

Murakami has flawlessly merged the Old with the New in his own unique visual style in this tando just in the title (circular-format painting). Korin is a reference to the Rinpa School of Japanese art, which was founded by Ogata Korin, an Edo painter. The Superstring Hypothesis, on the other hand, is a current physics theory that aims to investigate the universe's fundamental ingredients. The Edo-inspired composition and inclusion of natural components, as well as the digitally created textures and strong colors, pay visual respect to the Superstring theory, a method of thinking that implies the universe is made up of mini 'strings,' just as the pieces in this print are interrelated.
